What to do in Yosemite

Ello! Well, I took a small family trip this past week to YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK!!!

It was fantastic and there were so many beautiful views of Yosemite. The fun part of it all was there were tons of stuff to do at the park, that I felt like you needed several days just to get to everything.  If you are thinking about going to Yosemite National Park, then here are some things you all can do.

Yep, Yosemite has some of the most beautiful hiking trails to go on and if you have the stamina and the strength, then you should definitely go for it but remember, some trails can also be very challenging. Many of the trials lead to selected vista points  but some may also connect to another trail so definitely make sure you know which ones you are going on. They also have a rough estimate of how long each trail will take at the visitor center. The one trail I went on was to the Lower Yosemite Falls, and this was all leveled with a path, so this could be a great easy trail to take if you are not a true hiking person. (Sidenote” If you do this trial early in the morning, you can see deer  roaming around the paths and playing with other animals.)

If you start at the bottom of Yosemite, they have a free shuttle bus that takes you to all the main vista points to take pictures and see the full amount of Yosemite, without you actually driving. If you are looking to save some money on gas and or just don’t like driving through thick and narrow roads, then this will be the best option for you.  (Sidenote: Try to get on the very first bus of the day, otherwise you are going to be in very crowded shuttles through the entire time. )

At the Valley Center  of Yosemite National Park, there is a  museum of all the historical information about Yosemite like how it was formed and how it became such a favorable tourist attractions for many years. The museum is really hands on so you can touch everything, play videos, listen to historical people talk and really get a walk through history at this place. If you have kids, it’s a great place to let them wonder around too. 😉

This picture is from Google. I forgot to take one.

Yes, Yosemite has a gallery in it.  One of the most famous photographers in the world that took magnificent pictures of Yosemite National Park was the one and only Ansel Adams. Many of his works and prints are at the Gallery to buy and to look. They also have tons of books about Yosemite there, and one that caught my eye was one about the many deaths of Yosemite has claimed. Yosemite is very beautiful but very deadly especially if you are not careful.

There are lots of cabins, hotels and resorts coming up to Yosemite National Park, but if you are more of a camping type of person, then you can rent out a spot inside Yosemite in either one of the many campgrounds or even one of the heated tents. If you do this option though most of your food is going to be in packed tins or from the grocery store they have at the Valley Center. If you like the idea of camping, then make sure you reserve a spot or one of the tents early on, otherwise, it will be impossible to even get in. (Sidenote: We tried to get into one of the resorts right outside of Yosemite, but they were all completely filled. That’s what happens when you don’t plan during the Peak season, which is the summer months. )

These are just some of the many things you can do inside the park. Yosemite is also a part of other national parks, so if you tired of Yosemite, which I really don’t know how then you can venture off to the other parks. Yosemite is such a wonderful site to see and if you are able to come and experience the magnitude of this park, then fantastic. I’ve uploaded just a few of the 100 pictures that I took while I was there. I might be posting a Vlog about my experience at Yosemite on my Youtube Channel: PinkyGThatsMe in the coming week, so definitely keep an eye out for that.

Anyways, I hope this post encouraged you to possible go out and explore Yosemite one day. Do any of you have any other info about Yosemite, let me know and tell me your experience in the comments below. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

xoxo  Alyssa G
